After many years of suffering, from illnesses, Chris David Cotner’s earthly journey has come to an end on August 30, 2019. He was born on September 12, 1943, in Hammond, IN to Clarence David & of Freida Maeda (Wulf) Cotner.
Fifty-seven years earlier at “Danceland” in Whiting, IN, he met Mary Margret O’Keefe. His high school sweetheart, wife, and mother of their four children: Cary Cotner of Sarasota FL, Lisa Cotner of Warsaw IN, Danielle Cotner (Biagi) Scotti of North Port, FL, and Ryan Cotner of Warsaw IN, and granddaughter: Brianna Scotti of North Port, FL.
Chris loved singing and dancing with the “Dancing Grannies and Grandpas,” acting in church plays, and traveling and singing with “The Mellowairs.” His hobby was stained glass which he loved giving as gifts. He enjoyed walking Ava, his Shih Tzu and his unconditional friend. He took pride in wearing different hats and as the seasons changed so did his hat. Chris visited local nursing homes to spend time with various residents. Chris was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church and proudly served as an usher for his Pastor Michael Mueller.
These are just a few of the things he enjoyed. His family and friends will have their own memories. May God embrace you Chris David Cotner and say to him “A JOB WELL DONE.”
