Christopher M. "Chris" Wehmeyer

Christopher M. “Chris” Wehmeyer, 32, of Syracuse, IN passed away at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born on August 18, 1983 in Goshen, IN to Karen E. Watts & Terry Ellsworth. He was later adopted by Todd Wehmeyer.

He was a lifetime Syracuse area resident, attended Wawasee High School in Syracuse, IN and received his Associate Degree from Ivy Tech in Warsaw, IN. He was married on October 4, 2008 in Syracuse, IN to Megan A. (Straub) who survives.

He attended the Vineyard Community Church in Syracuse.

He is survived by:

Daughter – Londyn Wehmeyer

2 Sons – Aiden & Tymon Wehmeyer

Mother – Karen Wehmeyer of Syracuse

2 Sisters – Ashley Cook of Syracuse & Michalea Knight of LaGrange

2 Brothers – Mike (Amanda) Wehmeyer of Millersburg & Jonathan Wehmeyer of Syracuse

Father – Todd Wehmeyer of Elkhart & Terry Ellsworth of Elkhart

Grandparents – Dave & Kay Anglemyer of Goshen & Anne Burns of North Webster

Aunts & Uncles – Melissa (Bill) Kinney of Goshen, Deb (Lloyd) Lafary of Goshen, Raymond (Angela) Watts of Goshen, Becki (Troy) Burkhead of Syracuse, and Tracy Wehmeyer of Indianapolis

Many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers – Raymond Watts & Ron Burns and aunt - Barbara (Watts) Brovant.

Visitation will be from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home on Saturday with Pastor Kent Butcher of the church officiating. Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd 15, Warsaw, IN.
