“Bimbo” Atkins, 52, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at 4:45 PM in his Warsaw, Indiana home.
“Bimbo” was born May 31, 1962 in Bremen, Indiana to Erma (Peters) Atkins and the late Clarence H. Atkins, Sr.
He was a 1980 graduate of Warsaw Community High School.
“Bimbo” was a supervisor at R-Vision, Inc. He served on the Young Tiger Football board; started sprint-car racing at the age of 16; and was an avid Colts fan.
He is survived by his son, Austin Atkins, Warsaw; and daughter, Alyssa Atkins at home; 2 step-sons, Jacob Bradford and Zach Bradford of Warsaw; granddaughter, Jayden Atkins; mother: Erma Atkins of Warsaw; and his 4 sisters: Sandy Atkins, Warsaw; Sheila (Greg) Anderson, Bourbon; Renee Atkins, Bourbon; Sheri (Matt) Rapp, Claypool; and Brother Kevin (Krista) Atkins, Warsaw. “Bimbo” was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Atkins Sr. on January 16, 2013.
Family and friends will gather for a time of sharing in comfort and support of each other Friday, December 19th from 2-4 and 5-8 PM in Titus Funeral Home, 2000 E. Sheridan Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580. A service celebrating the life of “Bimbo” Atkins will take place Saturday, December 20th beginning at 11 AM in the funeral home. Pastor Rob Ruberg of Riverview Community Church, Tippecanoe will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
