Claudia Esther Yates

Claudia Esther Yates, 63, of Claypool, IN passed away at 3:40 a.m. on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at her home. She was born on March 27, 1957 in Iaeger, WV to Claude Luther & Bessie May (Jones) Roberts.

She grew up in West Virginia, graduated in 1975 from Iaeger High School in Iaeger, WV, and moved to the Claypool area in the mid 1990’s. She was married on March 15, 2013 in Princeton, WV to Darrell Keith Yates who survives. She formerly worked at LSC Communications (RR Donnelley) for 17 years and Fairmont Homes in Nappanee for 7 years.

She is survived by:

Husband – Darrell Yates of Claypool

Daughter – Rusty Deann Terry of Bluefield, WV

Son – Rex “Allen” (Heather) Addair Jr. of North Manchester

Step Daughter – Kara Lee (Michael Loper) Yates of Warsaw

Step Son - Billy Thomas Yates of Claypool

18 Grand – Rex “Trey”, Brianna, Payton, Kolton, Kaiden, Bella, Mark, Elijah, Cambria, Anna, Wyatt, Austin, Leam, Logan, Kingston, Kayleigh, Olivia, and Lillian

3 Sisters – Christine Jones of Redkey, IN, Barbara Roberts of North Vernon, IN and Hazel (Larry) Addair of Grapevine, WV

Brother – Larry (Kay) Roberts of Tavewell, VA

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister – Deborah Auville, and 3 brothers – Dewey “Eddie” Stinson, Harvey “Dennis” Roberts, and Charles Roberts.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd 15, Warsaw, IN. Memorial services will be at 12:00 noon on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at the Free Will Baptist Church, 2503 W. 900S, Silver Lake, IN. Private family burial will be in the Mullen’s Family Cemetery in Ritter, WV.
