Clydean Lewallen, 60, of Syracuse died at 4:49 a.m. Monday, July 27, 2009 at Goshen General Hospital in Goshen, IN. She was born February 18, 1949 in Forest, LA to William Clyde & Delia A. (Stanley) Bowen.
She attended the public school system in Mississippi and moved to Syracuse 40 years ago from Mississippi. She was a Nurse's Assistant with her last employment being at Avalon Village Nursing Home in Ligonier for many years.
She is survived by:
1 Daughter - Mrs. Robert (Melissa) Coy of Syracuse
1 Son - Charles (fiance, Rachel) Lewallen of Silver Lake
4 granddaughters
3 Sisters - Mrs. Joel (Carolyn) Turner of Goshen, Mrs. Pete (Phyllis) Vaughn, & Lou Ann Hemphill of Meridian, MS
2 Brothers - Doug (wife, Ann) Bowen of New Albany, MS & Clark (wife, Bessie Mae) Bowen of Meridian, MS
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 30, 2009 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN. Graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 31, 2009 at Greenwood Cemetery, corner of C.R. 29 & 52 Syracuse, IN with Rev. John Lutton of the Church of the Nazarene in Ligonier officiating .
Memorial bequest may be given to donor's choice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
