Cort C. Lenfestey, 63, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at 5:15 PM in his Warsaw, Indiana home.
Cort, the son of Earl and Gweneveve (Powell) Lenfestey was born December 31, 1951 in Marion, Indiana.
However, he lived most of his life in Warsaw and was a 1970 graduate of Warsaw Community High School. He enjoyed softball and spending time on Chapman Lake. He loved to drag race at US 30 Drag Strip and the Bunker Hill Drag Strip.
He is survived by 2 sons and daughters-in-law: Shawn and Jennifer Lenfestey of Granger, Indiana and Chris and Brenda Lenfestey of Warsaw; 7 grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law: Wrenay and Russ Kann of Leesburg, Indiana; step brother: Darren Lenfestey of Gas City, Indiana; and step sister: Lisa Shanyda of Royerton, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents and 4 brothers: Earl Lenfestey, Jerel Lenfestey (September 11, 1998), Pete Lenfestey (January 24, 2007) and Royce Lenfestey (May 27, 2013).
Family and friends will gather for a time of sharing in support of each other Sunday, March 2nd from 1 - 2 PM in Titus Funeral Home. A service celebrating Cort's life will follow beginning at 2 PM. Pastor Jeff Pfeifer of Warsaw Community Church, Warsaw will officiate. Burial will take place in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
