Dale Eugene Thompson, 80, of Milford, IN passed away at 12:06 a.m. on Friday, December 31, 2010 at his home. He was born on May 22, 1930 in Rochester, IN to Charles E. & Irene M. (Fisher) Thompson.
He grew up in Fulton County and attended school there. He lived in North Webster for 30 years before moving to the Milford area. He retired in 1999 from Dana Corporation in Syracuse as a machinist & fork truck operator. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge # 3760 in Syracuse and served in the United States Army.
He is survived by:
2 Daughters – Mrs. Lee (Violet) Sloan of Syracuse & Connie Lewellan of Waterloo, IN
1 Son – Roger (wife, Marilyn) Thompson of Milford
4 Grand & 6 Gt. Grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parent and sister – Betty Brower.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday in the funeral home with Pastor Mike Beezley of the Clunette United Methodist Church officiating. Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday in the Mentone Cemetery.
