Daniel Konkle

June 8, 1976 — May 19, 2016

Biography
Daniel Reginald Konkle, 39 passed away at 12:42 a.m. May 19, 2016 at Mason Health and Rehabilitation Center, Warsaw, Indiana after a long and courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
He was born June 8, 1976 in St. Louis, MO to Ronald and Sheree (Bailey) Konkle. He graduated from Living Heritage Academy, Lewisville, TX in May 1995.
From the age of a very young child, Daniel always loved to attend and be involved in church. For many years his father was an evangelist and Daniel greatly enjoyed traveling from church to church, meeting new people, especially girls. He also really enjoyed when he and his father travelled alone, especially when they went on a 3 week missions trip.
He loved sports and thoroughly enjoyed playing many of them with his friends as well as with his mother whom he adored.
He always had a “soft spot” for those who were hurting and in need. In the wake of Hurricane Katrina in 2005, Daniel temporarily relocated to New Orleans to help recover from the devastation. For several months he stayed in tents along with hundreds of other volunteers and helped unload supplies, etc. for the residents of New Orleans.
Daniel never met a stranger and loved to be around people. He was also known for his mega-watt smile. Even when his body was bed-ridden and in severe pain he always had a smile and virtually never complained. He touched the hearts of so many of his caregivers; a young man suffering so much, but still smiling and trying to make people laugh (which he loved to do). He was also a true and loyal friend.
He will be greatly missed by his family and will be remember as a beloved son, brother and grandson. They are comforted in knowing he is in a much better place and is pain-free.
Daniel is survived by his parents, Rev. Ronald and Sheree Konkle (Warsaw); one sister, Anna Konkle (Warsaw); and his maternal grandparents, Loren and Patsy Bailey, (Warsaw). He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Clarence and Maude Konkle.
Visitation will be Monday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 at Titus Funeral Home. The funeral will be Tuesday afternoon at 1:00. Rev. Ronald Konkle will be officiating with assistance from Chaplain Sunday Adelakin and Chaplain Dennis Bollenbacher. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, (Warsaw).
Memorial gifts may be directed to Heart to Heart Hospice (620 Edison Road #122, Mishawaka, IN 46545).
The staff of Titus Funeral Home considers it a privilege and an honor to care for the family and friends of Daniel Reginald Konkle.
