Daniel T. "Dan" Ewald Jr.

Daniel T. “Dan” Ewald, 66, of Leesburg, IN passed away at 5:52 a.m. on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born on March 5, 1952 in South Bend, IN to Daniel T. & Kathryn H (Nagy) Ewald.

He graduated in 1970 from Riley High School in South Bend & Ivy Tech in South Bend with an Associate Degree. He moved to North Webster in 1986 from South Bend and on April 2, 1988 in North Webster, IN he married Melody A. Gray who survives. He retired in May 2017 from Akzo Nobel Powder Coatings (formerly Rohm & Haas Powder Coatings and Morton International) in Warsaw after 29 years. He formerly worked at Hammersley Security Service & Reese Security Services in Warsaw and after retirement he worked at Securitas Security in Fort Wayne & Bob Evans in Warsaw.

He was a member of the North Webster United Methodist Church where he served as an usher & greeter.

Wife - Melody Ewald of Leesburg

2 Daughters – Lynn M. (Shaun) Schleeter of Harrisburg, MO & Cassandra L. (Jesse) Henley of Goshen

2 Sons – Jason M. (Jessica) Ewald of Holts Summit, MO & Eric (Lori) Ewald of Fort Wayne

6 Grand & 2 Gt. Grandchildren

Sister – Linda K. Helenburg of South Bend

Brother – Michael A. Ewald Sr. of Marion, IN

He was preceded in death by his parents & brother – David Ewald.

Visitation will be 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 28, 2018 at Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd. 13 & C.R. 500N, North Webster. Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2018 in the funeral home with Pastor Byron Kaiser officiating. Burial will follow in the Mock Addition of the North Webster Cemetery.
