Dardanella Yoder, 74, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 6:58 a.m. in her Warsaw, Indiana home. She was born in Benton Harbor, Michigan on October 10, 1942 to Russell and Helen (Lucas) Himes.
She and Richard E. Yoder were joined in marriage October 29, 1961 in Warsaw and would share 55 years.
Living most of her life in Warsaw she was a customer service representative for its Marsh Supermarket and had also been employed by Wildman’s Business Group. Dardanella was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church of Silver Lake.
Survivors include her husband, Richard; 2 daughters: Laura (Wesley) Engle, Warsaw and Tina (Justin) Embry of Sierra Vista, Arizona; 3 sons: David (Jennifer) Julian, Columbia City, Indiana; Chris (Tracy) Yoder and Brian (Brenda) Yoder – all of Mentone, Indiana; 3 sisters: Beverly Moody and Cindy Himes – both of Warsaw; and Sharon McNees of Nashville, Tennessee; 27 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.
Preceding Dardanella in passing are 2 sons: Mike Julian and Rick Yoder; 2 brothers: Rusty Himes and Bing Himes; and 2 sisters: Louise Hester and an infant sister.
Calling will be Friday, July 21st from 10:00 a.m. – 12 Noon at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. A service celebrating Dardanella’s life will follow beginning at Noon in the funeral home with Pastor Lorren Bradley of First Freewill Baptist Church of Silver Lake officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Warsaw.
