David T. “Uncle Dave” Anglemyer, 72, of Syracuse, IN passed away at 6:34 p.m. on Monday, March 14, 2011 at IU Goshen Hospital in Goshen, IN. He was born on March 16, 1938 in South Bend, IN to Guy Virgil & Thelma Inez (Crum) Anglemyer.
He graduated in 1957 from Lakeville High School and moved to Syracuse 30 years ago from Walkerton, IN. He formerly worked at Sea Nymph & Commodore Corp in Syracuse and enjoyed golfing. He was United States Air Force Veteran and member of the American Legion Post 223 in Syracuse.
He is survived by:
Son- Tracy (wife, Renee) Minnix of Syracuse
2 Sisters – Mrs. Lyle (Beth Ann) Mayhew of Syracuse & Linda Jensen of
Apache Junction, AZ
Several Nieces & Nephews
Beloved cat – Sylvester
He was preceded in death by his parents, & brother – Del Anglemyer
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at Owen Family Funeral Home 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN. Memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Harlan Steffen officiating. Burial will take place in the Syracuse Cemetery at a later date.
