David Kuhn

North Webster

David Kuhn, a beloved member of the North Webster community, passed away on November 6, 2024, at the age of 85. He was born on July 1, 1939, in Warsaw, IN to Harry and Jane (Jarrett) Kuhn.

David grew up in North Webster and graduated from North Webster High School, Class of 1957. 

He went to work for GW Foods in Syracuse and would move to Bryant, Ohio when Beatrice Food bought GW Foods and moved it to Ohio. After his retirement he moved back to his hometown and married Marilyn Payton on August 20, 1994.

David had many interests; he was a long-time member of the Saddle Club. He obtained his pilot’s license and owned a small plane. He loved to travel and went to Jamaica several times. He spent many cherished hours riding horses, embracing the great outdoors. In his later years he worked for Sea Horse INC as videographer for horse shows. One of his greatest loves was his cherished 1957 Chevy Bel Air, which symbolized his appreciation for classic craftsmanship and design.

Throughout his life, David valued family and friendship. He is survived by his son, Scott Kuhn of North Webster, his sister Margo (Cecil) Kissinger, Nephew Mike (LuAnn) Kissinger and Grand Nephew Tyler (Tori) Kissinger all of North Webster also raised as sibling Sister Golden (Cliff) Sherman of Bennett, CO, Brother JR Kuhn of Goshen, IN. David will be remembered for the love he shared and the memories he created.

David was preceded in death by his wife Marilyn Payton, who passed in 2007, and his son, David Kuhn, who passed away in 2020. 

David will interned alongside his wife Marilyn in the Leesburg Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Titus Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8056 East 500 North, North Webster, IN 46555.
