David Mayhew

David Frank Mayhew, 73, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at 5:30 PM in his Warsaw, Indiana home.
David was born September 19, 1940 in Gary, Indiana to Edward W. and Ruth Rowena (Torbet) Mayhew. He was a 1958 graduate of Gilead High School.
He lived most of his life in the Warsaw area. It was in Warsaw on July 5, 1997 that he and Jane Ellen (Storment Fritschle) were joined in marriage.
For 44 years he was employed by R.R. Donnelly and Sons retiring in 2004 as a safety tech.
David was a member of New Hope Freewill Baptist Church, Warsaw. He was a ham radio operator for over 60 years and was known as WA9ZYC. He loved wood carving; and he loved playing the harmonica. He enjoyed music - especially Southern Gospel and Blue Grass.
David is survived by his wife: Jane Ellen Mayhew, Warsaw; 2 sons and daughters-in-law: Douglas and Michelle Mayhew, Claypool, Indiana; and Duane and Sandra Mayhew, Warsaw; a daughter and son-in-law: Danita and Dan Spangler, Pierceton, Indiana; 2 step children; 6 step grandchildren; and 10 great step grandchildren.
Family and friends will gather for a time of sharing in support of each other Friday, December 13th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. A service celebrating the life of David Frank Mayhew will take place Saturday, December 14th beginning at 10 AM in the funeral home. Pastor David Cripe of New Hope Freewill Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, Indiana.
The family has asked the gifts in David's memory be directed to Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice, PO Box 1196, Warsaw, Indiana 46581-1196.
