David L. "Dave" Milton

David L. “Dave” Milton, 77, of Syracuse, IN (formerly of Elkhart, IN) passed away at 1:01 p.m. on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Syracuse. He was born on May 27, 1940 in Chicago, IL to Maurice & Marguerite (Hartnell) Milton.
He grew up in Michigan, Chicago, & Elkhart and graduated in 1958 from Elkhart High School. He formerly worked as a van & RV salesman and for Mid-America Propane in Chicago. He was the former co-owner/operator of Aqua Vista Lake Resort Hotel in Shell Lake, WI for 13 years. He moved back to the Elkhart area 10 years ago from Chicago before moving to Syracuse a year ago.
He attended the New Testament Bible Church in Elkhart.
He is survived by:
3 Step Daughters – Robin (J. Brian) Messick of Middlebury, Joy (J. Michael Swearengin) Caton of Phoenix, AZ & Julie (Randy) Castetter of Elkhart
5 Grand & 12 Gt. Grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents & son – Shawn David Milton.
Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd 15, Warsaw, IN. No public services will be held. Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S Huntington St, Syracuse, IN is in charge of arrangements.
