David M. "Dave" Walker

David M. “Dave” Walker, 79, of Pierceton, IN passed away at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at his home. He was born on December 4, 1942 in Hartford City, IN to Jay & Violet (Scott) Walker.

He attended Muncie Central High School and was married on April 21, 1962 in Muncie, IN to Nancy Ann Merritt who preceded him on June 3, 2012. He moved to the Pierceton / North Webster area in the early 1970’s from Muncie. He retired from Homecrest Cabinets in Goshen after 12 years and formerly worked at Barth Manufacturing in Milford, Freeman Builders in Warsaw, and Syracuse Rubber Co.

He was a member of the Country Bible Church in North Webster.

He is survived by:

Daughter – Crystel (Andy) Hamilton of Pierceton

2 Sons – Thomas (Christa) Walker of Bluffton & and Timothy Walker of Pierceton

11 Grand & 11 Gt. Grandchildren

6 Sisters - Ruth Morgan of Eaton, IN, Carolyn Lockhart of Muncie, Mary (Johnny) Neal of Muncie, Karen (Les) Berton of Arnold, MO, Sheila (Skip) Geyer of Glenwood, IN, and Cindy Starrett of Arnold, MO

Brother – Robert (Lorry) Walker of Hartford City

Daughter in law – Kelly Walker of Warsaw

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son – David Walker Jr., and granddaughter – Chelsea Walker.

Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd. 13 & CR 500N, North Webster, IN. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 20, 2022 in the funeral home with Pastor Myron Drent officiating. Burial will follow in the Mock Addition of the North Webster Cemetery.
