Deloris C. Thompson, 76, passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 3:55 AM in her Claypool, Indiana home.
Deloris was born September 16, 1937 in Fulton County, Indiana to Earl D. and June A. (Smith) Floor. She was a 1956 graduate of Akron High School, Akron, Indiana.
Deloris and Max Thompson were married May 13, 1956 in Disco, Indiana.
Living most of her life in the Claypool area, she enjoyed gardening and sewing. She was a machine operator at Manchester Controls for 36 years retiring in 1999.
Survivors include husband, Max C. Thompson, Claypool; 2 sons and a daughter-in-law: Max E. and LaDeana Thompson, Claypool and Lonnie Thompson of Fort Wayne, Indiana; 1 grandson: Christopher Thompson, Michigan City, Indiana; 1 granddaughter and her husband: Valerie and Mitch Thompson-Mantle of Churubusco, Indiana; 1 great grandson: David Mantle; 2 sisters and a brother-in-law: Sharon Floor and Joan and Jim Bucher - all of Akron; and 2 brothers and sisters-in-law: Larry and Ann Floor, Akron; and Michael and Claudette Floor of Indianapolis, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Karen French.
Family and friends will gather for a time of sharing in support of each other Saturday, April 5th from 9 - 11 AM at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. A service celebrating the life of Deloris C. Thompson will follow beginning at 11 AM in the funeral home. Pastor Eddie French will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
The family has asked that gifts given in Deloris' memory be directed to Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice, PO Box 1196, Warsaw, Indiana 46581-1196.
