Dewitte C. Thomas, 101, of Syracuse, IN passed away at 8:20 a.m. on June 8, 2017 at Goshen Hospital in Goshen, IN. He was born August 28, 1915 in Wolf Lake, IN to Carlton L. & Edna (Galloway) Thomas.
He graduated in 1933 from Syracuse High School. He was raised in the Syracuse area, lived in Kentucky for several years, and returned to Syracuse in the 1950’s. He was a chiropractor in Kentucky for several years and an accountant for most of his life.
He formerly attended the Full Gospel Lighthouse Tabernacle in Kimmell, IN and Wolf Lake Baptist Church.
He is survived by:

He was preceded in death by his parents & brother – Theo J. Thomas.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 12, 2017 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St. Syracuse, IN. Funeral services to follow at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Mike Gross of Grace Bible Baptist Church in New Paris officiating. Burial will follow at Sparta Cemetery in Kimmell, IN.
