Diana L. Thomas

Diana L. Thomas, 55, of Milford, IN passed away at 1:10 a.m. on Friday, May 31, 2013 at her home. She was born on July 19, 1957 in Chicago, IL to Allen H. & Norma J. (Brown) Leismer.

She lived most of her life in Hammond, graduated from Morton Senior High School and attended Ivy Tech both in Hammond, IN. She moved to Milford in 1992 from the Valparaiso / Hammond area. She was formerly a caregiver for the elderly, worked at Maple Leaf Farms in Milford and had a small cleaning service.

She was a member of the Christian Church in Milford. She enjoyed her family, gardening, crafts, movies, and animals.

She is survived by:
Daughter – Jennifer Tilbury of Milford
Son – Jeffery (wife, Tonya) Bowman of Nashville, TN
4 Grandchildren
Parents – Allen & Norma Leismer of Milford
2 Brothers – David (wife, Joann) Leismer of Kouts, IN & Dan (wife, Dennise) Leismer of Milford

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter – Summer Lynn Marie Tilbury.

Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 3, 2013 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. on Monday in the funeral home with Pastor Stephen Leininger of the church officiating. Private family burial will take place at a later date.

Memorial bequest may be given to the donor’s choice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
