Donald L. Edwards, 68, of Auburn, IN passed away at 4:35 p.m. on Monday, November 7, 2011 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born on September 29, 1943 in Albion, IN to Everett E. & Ruth O. (Herendeen) Edwards.
He graduated in 1961 from Wawaka High School in Wawaka, IN. He lived most of his life in the Fort Wayne area and served in the United States Army. He was married on October 29, 1963 in Syracuse, IN to Gloria J. Price who survives. He was owner / operator of Edwards Sewing Center in Fort Wayne and formerly employed with Singer Sewing Company in Fort Wayne. He was inducted into the National Sewing Machine Dealers Hall of Fame and was an avid golfer and New York Yankees fan.
He is survived by:

2 Daughters – Mrs. Charles (Teri) Fear of Warsaw, IN & Mrs. Chad (Lisa) Kohli of Auburn
Son – Scott (wife, Rachelle) Edwards of Keller, TX
9 Grandchildren
3 Sisters – Tona Whitford of Pennsylvania, Mrs. Paul (Vaneta) Shackel of Wisconsin, & Sherry Eash of Goshen, IN
Brother – Terry (wife, Lue) Edwards of Ligonier, IN
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister – Mary Lou Grimes, 3 Brothers – Darl, Arnie, & Larry Edwards.
Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 11, 2011 at the funeral home with Paul Shackel officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Park Cemetery in Ligonier.
Memorial bequest may be given to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, 1500 Rosecrans Avenue, Suite 200, Manhatton Beach, CA 90266. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
