Donald L. Ponder, 73, passed away Wednesday November 25, 2015 at 6:02 AM in Miller's Merry Manor, Warsaw, Indiana. Donald was born March 31, 1942 to Elbert H. and Margaret I (Jennings) Ponder. He was a high school graduate. Donald served with the United States Army and was honorably discharge September 25, 1960.
A Warsaw resident, Donald was a member of the American Legion #49.
He is survived by a sister: Emma Garrett, and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding Donald’s passing were 6 brothers: Charles Ponder, Bill Ponder, Robert Ponder, John Ponder, Mike Ponder and Jeff Ponder as well as 2 sisters: Martha Taylor and Eva Thieme.
There will be a graveside service Friday, December 4th
beginning at 1 PM in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. Pastor Bob Jarboe will officiate. Military honors will be conducted by Warsaw’s American Legion Post #49 and VFW Post #1126.
