Donald G. “Don” Smith, 69, of Milford, IN passed away at 8:20 a.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at his residence. He was born on December 4, 1950 in Bronson, MI to Walter Warren & Fanny (Troyer) Smith.

He graduated from Bronson High School in Bronson, MI, attended Kellogg College in Iowa, and was a United States Army veteran. He was married on October 30, 2000 in Goshen, IN to Debra S. (Tyler) Bowler who survives. He retired in 2012 from Medtronic in Warsaw after several years and was the former manager of Meadow Mobile Home Park in Nappanee, IN for several years. He lived most of his life in the Nappanee / Milford area.

He is survived by:

Wife – Debra Smith of Milford

Daughter - Fannie Smith of Milford

Son – Jeremiah Bowler of Nappanee

Granddaughter – Stella Bowler & Gt. Grandson – Ezra

4 Sisters – Mabel Hough, Violet Garman, and Shirley Bodine all of Coldwater, MI and Rosie (Norman) Runyon of Dowagiac, MI

Brother – Walter (Delores) Smith of Coldwater

He was preceded in death by his parents and 7 brothers & sisters.

No services will be held. Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N St. Rd. 15, Warsaw, IN, 46582. Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN 46567 is in charge of arrangements.

Memorial bequest may be given to the Donald Smith Funeral Fund, c/o Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN 46567.
