Donald J. "Don" Serviss Sr.

Donald J. "Don" Serviss Sr., 81, of Syracuse, IN passed away at 12:45 a.m. on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at Millers Merry Manor in Syracuse, IN. He was born on July 3, 1938 in Queens, NY to George & Frances Lazarus Serviss.

He grew up in New York and attended John Adams High School in Ozone Park, NY. He retired from L & F Manufacturing in Bohemia, NY and moved in August 2015 to Syracuse area after being in Pennsylvania for 14 years.

He is survived by:

Daughter – Debbie (Paul) Bartels of North Webster

Son- Donald (Jeanine) Serviss Jr. of Lindenhurst, NY

6 Grandchildren – Tiffany (Eric) Pinkerton of Syracuse, Dawn (Russell) Coy of Syracuse, Paul (Shannon) Bartles of North Webster, Heather Patino of Copaigue, NY, Donald Serviss III of North Babylon, NY, and Matthew Serviss of Babylon, NY

Sister – Janice (Bill) Moesch of N.C

3 Brothers – Edward (Catherine) Serviss of FL, Arthur (Antoinette) Serviss of FL, and Joseph Serviss of NY

Numerous Nieces & Nephews

He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers & their wives - George (Joan) Serviss & Louis (Patricia) Serviss.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd. 15, Warsaw, IN. Private family services will be held and burial will take place in New York at a later date. Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St. Syracuse, IN is in charge of the arrangements.

Preferred memorials may be given to the donor’s choice.
