Donnabelle Mae Rule, 95, went to be with the Lord Friday, March 18, 2016 in Grace Village Healthcare, Winona Lake, Indiana.
Donnabelle was born February 9, 1921 in Milford, Indiana. She was the youngest child born to Wallace E. and Martha Mae (Maggert) Rule. She was a 1940 graduate of Bourbon High School, Bourbon, Indiana.
Donnabelle was a Warsaw resident and lived most of her life Kosciusko County. She was employed by Free Methodist Publishing House from June 1944 until her retirement on February 28, 1985. She worked in the shipping department, subscription department, Sunday School supplies department and mailing. For the last 7 years of her employment she worked in the CYC department and was a mail clerk for Sunday School supplies.
Donnabelle was a very active member of First Baptist Church of Warsaw for over 70 years. In years past she was a member of the Esther Circle, taught Sunday School, worked in the church library, sang in the choir and cared for the missionary board with pictures and letters from missionaries. She also provided a home away from home for two single ladies when they were in the area on furlough. Donnabelle was blessed with several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews whom she loved very much. They survive.
Donnabelle was preceded in passing by her 3 brothers: Seward Ira Rule (1938), Floyd W. Rule (1991), Russell E. Rule (July 30, 2000) as well as her sister: Elsie E. Biller (1987).
Friends may come together and share their memories with one another Tuesday, March 22nd from 1-2 PM in TITUS FUNERAL HOME, 2000 E. Sheridan Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580.
A service celebrating Donnabelle’s life will follow beginning at 2 PM in the funeral home. Henry Hart (Elder) will officiate the service and Pastor Steve Rahn will assist. Both are from First Baptist Church of Warsaw.
Burial will follow in Stony Point Cemetery, Atwood, Indiana.
Donnabelle’s request was for memorial gifts to be given to Lakeland Child Evangelism Ministries, PO Box 612, Winona Lake, Indiana 46590.
