Doris Cook (Blosser)

Doris Ann Cook, a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 shortly after 10:30 PM in Kosciusko Community Hospital. She was 80 years old at the time of her death.

Doris was born on November 25, 1936 in Kosciusko County to Gus and Delpha (Mortimer) Blosser. She was one of nine children and was a 1954 graduate of Warsaw High School.

Doris was united in marriage to Arden B. Cook on December 31, 1964 in Warsaw. Together the two would share more than fifty-two years of marriage.

Doris and Arden were members at First Baptist Church. Doris enjoyed canning and freezing the vegetables that they grew in their home garden.

Doris worked at Jomac for a number of years before moving to DaLite Screen. She retired in 1998 after 26 years of service.

Doris is survived by her husband, Arden, who lives in the Claypool home they built together. She is also survived by daughter, Susan Jane (Ronald) Eyster, three grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers: Edward, Leonard and Harold Blosser and five sisters: Pearl Arndt, Dorothy Scott, Virginia Huffman, Josephine Bushnill and Maxine King.

Private burial has taken place in Warsaw’s Oakwood Cemetery. Those wishing to express their sympathy may do so in the form of donation to Great Lakes Caring, whose hospice division gently cared for Doris in her final days.
