November 17, 1936 — November 21, 2016

Dorothy Lorraine Elliott, having recently celebrated her 80th birthday, passed away in the early hours of Monday, November 21, 2016.
Dorothy was born on November 17, 1936 to parents, Ernest and Mable (Redding) Cremeens. She was born in Aladdin, Wyoming though the family moved to Leesburg, Indiana when she was a young girl.
She spent much of her childhood in Leesburg and graduated from Leesburg High School with the class of 1955.
Dorothy was married to William Elliott on July 16, 1974 in Virginia although their relationship blossomed for several years before they were united in marriage. Together the two share nearly fifty years and five children; William survives.
Dorothy had worked for many years at Dana-Weatherhead in Syracuse, Indiana. Before her retirement, she had worked as the manager of several local Dollar General stores.
She loved humming birds, flowers of all kinds and riding horses – especially bareback, doing so until she was more than 60 years old. She had a “kooky” sense of humor and was kindhearted. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, William Elliott, Sr., Dorothy is survived by five children: Brian (Melissa) Grindle of Oswego, Indiana, Tari Sue (Patrick) Blocher of North Webster, Indiana, William (Tana) Elliott, Jr. of Etna Green, Indiana, Bobbi (Jerry) Wood of Milford, Indiana and Amy (Charles) Bradley of Claypool, Indiana; 19 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren and sister, Rosie (Billy) Carr of Ottawa, Illinois. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and a large extended family.
Friends may join family for a time of visitation on Friday, November 25th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in Titus Funeral Home, 2000 East Sheridan Street, Warsaw.
A celebration of Dorothy’s life will be held on Saturday, November 26th at 10 a.m. in the Funeral Home. Pastor J.C. Sparks of The River Worship Center, Warsaw will officiate. Burial will be in Sidney Cemetery, Sidney, Indiana.
