Eddie R. Abbott, 47, of Syracuse, IN passed away at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, January 14, 2011 at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne. He was born on January 2, 1964 in Anderson, IN to Ernest Robert & Eula Esther (Parmley) Abbott.
He graduated in 1982 from Pendleton High School and received his Associates Degree from Ivy Tech. He was married on February 28, 1988 in Elkhart, IN to Amy M. Fairfield who survives and moved to the Syracuse area 13 years ago from Elkhart.
He was employed for 12 years at Fairmount Homes in Nappanee as an engineer and was formerly employed with Keystone RV in Goshen. He loved hunting and was an avid Colts fan.

Daughter – Mrs. Trace (Laini) Toten of Panama City, FL
3 Sons – Pierce Abbott of Syracuse; Jason Abbott of Middletown, IN; & Eric Abbott of Muncie, IN
Step Daughter – Mrs. Timothy (Karlie Fairfield) Kilmer of Goshen

Brother – Alan Abbott of Osceola
Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 17, 2011 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at the funeral home with Pastor Brad Cox of the Wawasee Lakeside Chapel officiating. Burial will follow in the Syracuse Cemetery.
