Obituary for Edith Neer (Julius)

Edith A. Neer passed away Friday, January 13, 2017 in Majestic Oaks Rehabilitation, Orange City, Florida. She was 95.
Edith, the daughter of Richard Fred and Mary Jane (Julius) Davis, was a 1940 graduate of Claypool High School. She and Harold Neer were joined in marriage January 1, 1942 in Warsaw, Indiana. They were married 55 years until his passing on September 7, 1997. She lived in Warsaw until they moved to Debary, Florida.
Edith enjoyed knitting and going to garage sales. In her younger years, she also enjoyed traveling.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law: Chip and Janice Neer, Fort Wayne, Indiana; daughter and son-in-law: Penny and Thomas Dzuba of Deltona, Florida; 3 granddaughters: Tina Coleman, Orlando, Florida; Tracey Dzuba, Deltona and Tanna (and husband, Luis) also of Deltona; 3 great grandchildren: Previn Coleman, Tylee Oliver and Taylin Oliver.
In addition to Harold, Edith was preceded in death by her brother, Max Davis, and 2 sisters: Irene Konkle and Helen Lewis.
A time of sharing with family and friends will be Friday, January 20th from 4 – 8 PM in Titus Funeral Home. A service celebrating Edith’s life will take place in the funeral home Saturday morning beginning at 11 AM. Pastor Bob Jarboe, Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice chaplain, will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
The family has asked that gifts in memory of Edith be directed to Vitas Hospice, 575 N. Clyde Morris Blvd., Daytona Beach, Florida 32114 or SPCA, 5850 Brannen Road S., Lakeland, Florida 33813.
