Edna "Marie" Mock
December 21, 1927 — July 19, 2015
Edna M. “Marie” Mock, 87, of Syracuse, IN passed away at 6:31 p.m. on Sunday, July 19, 2015 at Avalon Village Nursing Home in Ligonier, IN. She was born on December 21, 1927 in Leesburg (Clunette), IN to Leroy S. & Mary Ruth (Goodman) Bennett.
She was a lifetime Kosciusko County area resident and attended Atwood High School.
On June 2, 1947 in Elizabeth City, NC she married Lee “Gene” Mock who preceded her in death on September 26, 2013. She was a homemaker and former waitress at local area restaurants. She formerly attended the New Salem Church of the Brethren in Milford.
She is survived by:
Son – Gary Mock of Syracuse
Granddaughter – Valerie (Paul) Clingerman of Vincennes, IN
Brother - Dr. Gaylord Bennett of Seattle, WA
She was preceded by her parents, husband, sister – Demaris Bennett, & 5 brothers – Dwight, Eugene, Donald, Wendell, & Chauncey Bennett.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2015 in the Mock Addition of the North Webster Cemetery with Pastor Brad Cox of the Wawasee Lakeside Chapel officiating.
Memorial bequest may be given to Riley Hospital for Children, 702 Barnhill Dr., Indianapolis, IN 46202. Envelopes will available at the funeral home.
