Edward R. Herendeen, lifelong resident of Warsaw, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family just before midnight on Wednesday March 23, 2022, at the age of 83.
Born on May 23, 1938, Ed was the son of Harry F. and Evelyn Herendeen. On August 5, 1960, he was united in marriage to Valda Krebs. They spent almost 58 years together before her passing in July of 2018. Ed spent most of his career working in shipping at Kimball Glass for over 30 years until his retirement in 2000.
Ed was a big Chicago sports fan, enjoying both the Chicago Cubs and Bears. He also loved to watch NASCAR. Ed and Valda also spent their spare time traveling and bowling; the two were in a league together for many years.
Those who survive to cherish Ed’s memories are his sons, Rich (Pam) Herendeen and Kyle Herendeen; grandsons, Tyler Herendeen and Brady (Ashlynn) Herendeen; and three great granddaughters. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Valda; brother, Wayne Herendeen; and sisters, Anita Flannery, Helen Herendeen, and Alice Howard.
Titus Funeral Home and Cremation Services is entrusted to the care of Ed. Friends and family may gather there for visitation on Monday March 28, 2022, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Burial will immediately follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
