Eileen Phebus, a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2017 just before 7 p.m in Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw. She was 93 at the time of her passing.
The daughter of the late John W. and Rosella (Parker) Zolman, Eileen was born on June 5, 1924 in Kosciusko County.
As a young woman, Eileen was one of the only women in the family with a driver’s license and found herself tasked with driving her aunt and mother on their errands as neither drove. She was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family and visiting her siblings and their families.
Those with memories to treasure include the following family members: son, Mikel Phebus of Warsaw; grandchildren: Darlene (Ryan) Oler of Syracuse, Gabriella Phebus of California; Mikel (Amber) Phebus of Hawaii, Nathaniel Phebus of South Bend, Shelly Turek of Leesburg and Virginia Phebus of California. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren and a twin sister, Nadeen Cumberland of Mishawaka.
Those who preceded Eileen in passing include her three brothers: Wayne, Bud and Bernard Zolman and sister, Pat Drudge.
The family will receive visitors on Monday, November 6th from 10 to 11 AM in Titus Funeral Home, 2000 East Sheridan Street, Warsaw. A funeral service will follow, beginning at 11 with burial in Fairview Cemetery near Yellow Creek Lake.
