Eilene M. Cook, of Warsaw, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, March 14, 2025, at Paddock Springs at the age of 86. She was born in Hartford City on May 11, 1938, the daughter of Howard and Thelma Croy (Wright).
Eilene began her professional journey at Free Methodist Publishing, where she built a strong foundation for her career. She later served as a unit clerk for Flint Osteopathic Hospital for many years.
On June 13, 1959, Eilene married Stanley Cook, and together they created a loving home filled with warmth and joy. Eilene was not only a cherished wife and mother but also a proud grandmother and great-grandmother, finding immense joy in the lives of her family.
Gifted in the kitchen, she was a great cook and enjoyed gardening. Her family loved time around the dinner table enjoying her meals. Eilene also loved camping, mushroom hunting, and was always on the go. Her husband Stan would always say “Everybody Loves Eilene”. She will truly be missed by those who loved her most.
Eilene is survived by her daughters, Lori (Danny) McAlister and Debbie (Gary) Turbett, along with her grandsons Jacob (Jami) McAlister and Jesse (Keri) McAlister, and her four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in passing by her beloved husband, Stanley Cook, as well as her parents, her brothers, John Croy, Herman Croy, and Kenny Croy, and her sisters Janice Roberts and Nilah Netzley.
