Eleanor M. Rapsavage, age 93, of Warsaw died Thursday March 22nd at Mason Health Care Center.
Eleanor was born on Sunday, June 8, 1924 in Pana, Illinois. She was the only daughter of John and Emma (Desatnick) Baga. She grew up on the north end of Pana with her five brothers. She attended Sacred Heart School and she graduated from Pana Township High School. After high school, Eleanor worked at a munitions factory near Illiopolis during WWII. Following the war, Eleanor worked at the Pana Glove factory before Moving to Warsaw a few years later. It was in Warsaw where she would meet Philip Rapsavage. Eleanor and Phillip were married on September 23, 1950 in Sacred Heart Church in Warsaw where she was a member for many years.
She is survived by her husband, Philip Rapsavage; son, Roger Rapsavage (fiancée, Darlene Burkel); grandson, Ryan (wife, Lindsay) Rapsavage and great-grandson, Raiden Rapsavage all of Warsaw, Indiana, and one brother, Gilbert Baga of Forsyth, Illinois. Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents; John and Emma Baga, four brothers: John, Andy, Victor and Michael Baga; daughter, Suzy Rapsavage and great-granddaughter, Lainey Kay Rapsavage.
The family will receive friends at Noon on Wednesday, March 28th at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Pana. Mass of Christian burial will follow, beginning at one o'clock with Father Rodney Schwartz officiating. Her burial will follow in Pana Township's Calvary Cemetery.
