Elinor Frances Coy, 80, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2014 at 7:56 AM in Millers Merry Manor, Warsaw, Indiana.
The daughter of Alden B. and Evelyn I. (Michie) Lufkin, Elinor was born June 1, 1934 in Providence, Rhode Island. She was a 1952 graduate of Cranston High School, Cranston, Rhode Island.
On October 22, 1955, she and Orville “Pete” Coy were married in Providence. They were longtime residents of Springfield, Virginia and had resided in Virginia Beach, Virginia for several years prior to relocating to Indiana in 2007.
A homemaker, Elinor loved to collect bird figurines.
In addition to her husband, Pete, of Warsaw, Elinor is survived by 2 sons: Steve (Felix Diaz) Coy of Chicago, Illinois and Thomas (Monique) Coy of Winter Haven, Florida and her grandson, Nicholas Coy. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Family and friends will gather for a time of sharing in support of each other Saturday, July 19th from 12:30 – 1:30 PM at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, Indiana. A service celebrating the life of Elinor Frances Coy will follow beginning at 1:30 PM in the funeral home. Pastor Bob Jarboe, Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice chaplain will officiate.
The family has asked that gifts in Elinor’s memory be given to a charity of choice or simple acts of kindness may be done for others in her memory
