Elizabeth S. (Betty) Ganger, 89, of North Webster died at 2:05 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at Miller's Merry Manor, Syracuse, IN. She was born on December 15, 1918 in Syracuse, IN to Eli & Osee (Kiser) Shock.
She graduated in 1936 from Syracuse High School. She was married on July 24, 1942 in Syracuse, IN to H. A. Ganger who preceded her in June 1969. She retired in 1984 from North Webster School as secretary/bookkeeper after 25 years.
She was a member of the North Webster Church of God, where she was part of the J.O.Y. (Just Older Youth) Group, former Children's Sunday School Superintendent, and former President on the state and local levels for the Missionary Society. She was a member of the Efficient Homemakers Club in North Webster, former Treasurer for the North Webster/Tippecanoe Township Library and volunteered at the North Webster Food Pantry.
She is survived by:
2 Daughters - Cheryl L. Leedy of North Webster & Paula J. Markley of North Webster
1 Grandson - Brad Leedy of Louisville, KY
1 Sister - Irene Ferverda of North Webster

Visitation will be held from 3 - 8 p.m. on Friday, May 2, 2008 at the Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 3, 2008 in the North Webster Church of God with Pastor Jeff Boyer of the church officiating. Burial will follow at McClintic Cemetery.
