Elizabeth B. Karolyi

Elizabeth B. Karolyi, 90, of Columbia City, IN passed away at 5:20 a.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at The Oaks Nursing Home in Columbia City. She was born on October 18, 1923 in Budapest, Hungary to Peter Paul & Rose Margaret (Mohachi) Karolyi.

She graduated from Payne High School in Payne, OH and from Skadron Business College in Fort Wayne. She moved to Texas in 1947 from Fort Wayne and returned to the Columbia City area in 2007. She formerly taught at a Christian school in Texas and was a licensed insurance agent for many years. She was formerly affiliated with the Catholic Church.

She is survived by:
2 Sisters – Clara Burgoon of Payne, OH & Helen Hoy of Warsaw
1 Brother – Arthur Michael (Monna) Karolyi of Fort Wayne
Several Nieces & Nephews

She was preceded in death by her parents & 2 brothers – Louis Karolyi & Joseph Karolyi

Committal services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 in the Lindenwood Cemetery Chapel, 2324 W. Main St., Fort Wayne, IN. Burial will in the Lindenwood Cemetery.

Memorial bequest may be given to the donor’s choice. Envelopes will be available at the cemetery chapel.
