Ellis Guy Hygema

Ellis Guy Hygema, 75, of Warsaw, IN passed away at 1:03 a.m. on Monday, January 10, 2022 at Kosciusko Community Hospital in Warsaw, IN. He was born on February 9, 1946 in Warsaw, IN to Guy Ellis & Ruth Edna Juliet (McGuire) Hygema.

He was a lifetime Warsaw area resident and graduated in 1964 from Warsaw Community High School. He was married on August 14, 1965 in Warsaw, IN to Patricia H. “Patt” Heath who survives. He was employed at Smoker Craft in New Paris as a truck driver for many years.

He attended Pathway Church of Warsaw.

Wife – Patt Hygema of Warsaw

6 Sons – Loran Ellis (Melanie) Hygema of Palmetto, GA, Marcus Andrew (Kim) Hygema of Cookeville, TN, Terry Lynn (Mandi) Hygema of Leesburg, Chad Aaron (Amanda) Hygema of Greensboro, NC, Jeffrey (Daleen) Mast of Warsaw, and Daniel Buell. Grandchildren – Adam (Shannon) Hygema, Ansel Hygema, Gabriell Hygema, Alexander Hygema, Samantha Riley, Morgan Hygema, Zeb Hygema, Kaeden Hygema, Nolan  Shidler-Hygema, Ali Hygema, Katerana (Braden) Sommers, Kalea Baker, Kyra Baker, and Autumn Buell.

Greatgrandchildren – Dillon Hygema, Oliver Hygema, Cyrus Hygema, Taylor Riley, and Soul Rae Sommers.

Sister – Judy Drudge of Warsaw

Brother – Terry (Janet) Hygema of Citrus Springs, FL

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd 15, Warsaw, IN. Visitation will be from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Friday, January 14, 2022 Pathway Church, 2402 W. Old Rd. 30, Warsaw, IN. Memorial services will follow at 3:00 p.m. on Friday in the church with Pastor Jarod Osborne officiating. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery at a later date.

Preferred memorials may be given to the The Austin Hatcher Foundation, Chattanooga, TN.
