Biography
Eloise Uldine Forney Kintzel, 89, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2017 in her home.
Born, October 20, 1927 in Atwood, Indiana, Eloise was one of 3 children born to Marvin and Hazel (Kline) Harman. She was a 1945 graduate of Atwood High School.
Eloise lived most of her life in Etna Green and was a homemaker.
She became the bride of Don E. Forney on May 19, 1945 in Atwood. They would share 41 years until his passing on July 28, 1986. To their union 3 children were born, Dona, Kathy, and David.
On November 28, 1987, Eloise and Max Kintzel were married in Etna Green. They were blessed with 17 years together. Max would pass away May 18, 2005.
Eloise was a member of the Etna Green United Methodist Church. She loved gardening and spending time with her family.
Survivors include 2 children: her son: David (wife, Tina) Forney, Warsaw, Indiana and daughter Dona (husband, Lyn) Weyrick of Versailles, Kentucky. Also surviving are 3 grandchildren and their spouses: Heather (and Mike) Porter, Versailles; Matthew (and Ashley) Weyrick, Marion, Indiana; and Griffin Forney of Bozeman, Montana; 2 great grandchildren: Ivy and Wyatt Porter; 6 stepsons and their spouses: Ed Stine, Arizona; Noble Kintzel, Etna Green; Nick (and Barb) Kintzel, Warsaw; Dan Stine, Warsaw; Mike (and Becky) Stine, Peebles, Ohio; and Doug (and Mary) Kintzel, Warsaw.
In addition to her husbands, Don and Max, Eloise was preceded in passing by an infant daughter, Kathy Sue Forney on October 26, 1949; her infant brother, Thomas Aaron in 1918; and her sister, Marilyn Yohey, September 13, 2011.
The family will welcome friends at Titus Funeral Home Tuesday, June 13th from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. A service celebrating Eloise’s life will take place Wednesday, June 14th at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Pastor Bob Jarboe, chaplain with Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice, will officiate. Burial will follow in Stony Point Cemetery, Atwood.
