Emogene M. Davis

Emogene M. Davis, 101, of North Webster, IN passed away at 4:40 p.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Goshen Hospital in Goshen, IN.   She was born on October 24, 1916 in Rushville, IN to Glenn Lewis and Edythe Belle (Longfellow) Greenlee.

She graduated in 1934 from Gas City High School and on March 27, 1937 in Fairmount, IN she married Clark A. Davis who preceded her on July 28, 1996. She moved to the North Webster area in 1953 from Marion. She was a former telephone operator, worked in North Webster & Syracuse School Cafeteria, and Lyall Electric in North Webster. She and her husband were the former owner / operators of Davis Drive Inn & Joyland Mobile Home Park both in North Webster.

She was a member of the Church of God and Friends of the Library both in North Webster.

She is survived by:

2 Sons – Richard J. (Deborah) Davis of Port Aransas, TX & Thomas D. (Jane) Davis of North Webster

6 Grand, 6 Step Grand, 15 Gt. Grand, 12 Step Gt. Grand, and 19 Gt. Gt. Grandchildren

1 Sister- Donna Jean Penrod of Columbia City, IN

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, & brother- William A. Greenlee.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd 13 & CR 500N, North Webster, IN. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 9, 2018 in the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Boyer officiating. Burial will follow in the North Webster Cemetery.
