Ernest M. "Ernie" Dragoo

Ernest M. “Ernie” Dragoo, 75, of North Webster, IN passed away at 2:00 a.m. on Friday, February 4, 2011 at his home. He was born on August 19, 1935 in Crothersville, IN to Lester & Fada E. (Wilkerson) Dragoo.
He graduated in 1953 from Sharpsville High School and served in the National Guard during the Korean Conflict. He was married on August 25, 1962 to Carol Lynn (Pollo) Ehman who preceded him in death in 1990. He then married Dora Clingerman and they divorced.
He retired in 1996 as a truck driver from MJR Express in Decatur, IN after 6 years of service and was formerly employed with B& L Motor Freight in Newark, OH for 25 years. He was a member of the North Webster American Legion Post 253 and Teamsters Union. He was an avid Nascar, Chicago Bears, Chicago Cubs, & I.U. fan.
He is survived by:
4 Daughters - Cheryl Jones of Kokomo, IN; Lori Lynn Ghriswalt of Fishers, IN; Mrs. Tom (Tracy) Stark of Noblesville; & Mrs. Matthew (Terri) Wagoner of Syracuse
1 Son – Brad (fiancé, Holly) Dragoo of North Webster
17 Grandchildren & 15 Great Grandchildren
2 Sisters –Louise Dragoo of Indianapolis & Emma Zeek of Lafayette
Sister-in-Law – Yolanda Rogers of Tipton, IN
He was preceded by his parents, wife, 3 sisters – Mary Merrill, Lola Dragoo, & Rose Dragoo, & 3 brothers – George, Gene, & Junior Dragoo.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 7, 2001 at Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd. 13 & C.R. 500 N, North Webster, IN. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home with Sharon Brockhaus, GSP, CFC officiating. Burial will be in North Webster Cemetery (Mock Addition).
Memorial bequest may be given to Nightingale Home Healthcare, 312 E. Dupont Rd., Fort Wayne, IN . Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
