Ethel D. Johnson, 75, passed away Friday, December 13, 2013 at 10:35 AM in Miller's Merry Manor, Warsaw, Indiana.
The daughter of Amos Lester and Gladys (Prater) Dotson, Ethel was born April 13, 1938 in Prestonsburg, Kentucky.
She and Henry Johnson, Jr. were joined in marriage February 5, 1984 in Prestonsburg. In 2007 they moved and made their home in the Akron, Indiana area.
Ethel was a homemaker and a member of the Full Gospel Pentecostal Church in Silver Lake, Indiana.
Left with memories to treasure are 2 sons and daughters-in-law: Dean and Geretta Greene, Leesburg, Indiana; Jim and Leslie Greene of Bristol, Illinois; 3 grandchildren: Sossity Goble, Claypool, Indiana, Jeremy (and Aime) Greene, Leesburg, and Rachel Greene, Bristol; and sister: Eva Lee Hill of Dayton, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, Ethel was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Johnson, Jr. on August 31, 2009 and her brother, Amos L. Johnson, Jr.
Family and friends will gather for a time of sharing in support of each other Friday, December 20th from 11 AM - 1 PM at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. A service celebrating the life of Ethel D. Johnson will follow beginning at 1 PM in the funeral home. Pastor Carl Hughes of Full Gospel Pentecostal Church will officiate. Burial will take place in Dotson Family Cemetery, Prestonsburg, Kentucky at a later date.
The family has asked the gifts in Ethel's memory be given to Gentiva Home Healthcare and Hospice, 1476 W. 18th Street, Rochester, Indiana 46975.
The staff of Titus Funeral Home considers it a privilege to care for the family and friends of Ethel D. Johnson.
