Eugene Tofanelli

Eugene Tofanelli, of Cromwell, passed away unexpectedly on August 9, 2023, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne at the age of 34. He was born on March 17, 1989, in West Covina, California. Eugene was known for his awkward yet goofy personality, and his caring nature touched the lives of many. He was always willing to lend a helping hand when he was able and was one to let you know what was on his mind.

Beyond his work life as a machine operator, Eugene had a wide range of hobbies and interests that he enjoyed. He was an avid collector of Pez dispensers and took great pride in his extensive collection. He even wouldn’t remove them from the packaging. His love for music knew no bounds as he enjoyed listening to rock music loudly in the car. Eugene also enjoyed being outdoors, spending his spare time working on cars or fishing. His family and friends remember the jokes that he would share, although they were quirky, they would make everyone smile. His goofiness now resonates in the personalities of his children.

Eugene will be deeply missed by his loving children - Paul, Kaylee, Matthew, and Naci, as well as his stepchildren - Kayden and Ava Eldridge, fiancée- Keylah McKinley, sister- Angela Varney and her husband, Clayton, mother of his children- Heaven Tofanelli, and his niece and nephew- Aurora and Ezra Varney. He is further survived by many extended family members and numerous friends. He is preceded in passing by his mother, Laura Demott.

Huntington Street, Syracuse, for a memorial gathering on Saturday, August 19, 2023, from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm.
