Eugene Mark “Geno” Epple, 55, of Holland, MI passed away on June 26, 2017. He was born March 15, 1962 in Portage, IN to Eugene G. & Rena C. (Pividori) Epple.

He graduated from Rogers High School in Michigan City, IN and from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN. He worked at Farm Bureau in Indianapolis for many years. He lived in Greenwood, IN and Fishers, IN for several years before moving to Holland, MI about a year ago.

Geno loved music and had a great sense of humor. He was a passionate golf player who achieved a hole in one on Gahm Golf Course in December, 2012. He was an avid Pittsburg Steelers fan and loved to watch Hoosiers football and basketball as well as the Indianapolis 500. Geno’s personal message to his family and many friends would be, “Peace out! Geno the Mad Italian.”

He is survived by:

3 Sons – Austin Epple, Carson Epple, and Rylan Epple all of LaPorte, IN

2 Sisters – D.J. (Gerry) Wilson of Warsaw & Christina (John Hayes) Epple of Chicago, IL

2 Brothers – Eric (Brenda) Epple of Warsaw & Evan (Dora) Epple of Richmond, TX

Several nieces, nephews, and many caring friends

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister – Cynthia Metzger.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 3, 2017 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 408 W. Catholic St. Pierceton, IN with Father Chuck Herman of the church officiating. Burial will take place at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Pierceton, IN. Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd 15, Warsaw, IN is in charge of arrangements.

Preferred memorials may be given to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church Building Fund, 408 W. Catholic St. Pierceton, IN 46562.
