Evelyn H. Hyde, 87, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2013 at 10:50 PM in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, Indiana.
Evelyn was born to Burton and Aurel (Secor) Hatfield October 14, 1925 in Palestine, Indiana. In Akron, Indiana on March 19, 1945 she and James R. Hyde were joined in marriage.
A resident of Kosciusko County for most of her life she was a sewing operator for Playtime, Inc. and OEC - both formerly located in Warsaw. She was a member of Walnut Creek United Methodist Church, Warsaw. Evelyn loved her children and her grandchildren.
She is survived by 2 daughters and sons-in-law: Sharon and Richard Delagrange, Warsaw; and Christine and Tom Heckman of Sun City, Florida; 1 son and daughter-in-law: Barry J. and Marcia Hyde, Warsaw; 12 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and 1 great, great grandchild.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband James R. Hyde (September 15, 1991), 7 brothers and 4 sisters.
Friends and family may gather for a time of sharing Wednesday, September 18th from 11 AM - 1 PM in Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw where a service celebrating Evelyn’s life will follow beginning at 1 PM. Pastor Steven Ailes of Walnut Creek United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, Indiana.
The family has asked that gifts in Evelyn’s memory be given to Riley Children’s Hospital, 702 Barnhill Drive, Indianapolis, Indiana 46202.
