F. Arlene Nimmo, 63, of Milford, IN passed away at 9:45 p.m. on Monday, April 12, 2010 at Kosciusko Community Hospital in Warsaw, IN. She was born on May 29, 1946 in Indiana, PA to James E. & Frances A. (Rogel) Wood.
She graduated from North Tonawanda High School in Tonawanda, NY and on October 5, 1984 in Tonawanda she married Michael J. “Mike” Nimmo who survives. She moved to Kosciusko/Noble county area 20 years ago from NY. She retired in 2007 from Polly-wood in Syracuse after 4 years and was formerly employed for several years at Oak Leaf Village Nursing Home in Ligonier. She enjoyed playing Bingo.
She is survived by:
Husband – Mike Nimmo of Milford
3 Daughters – Mrs. Bernie (Tammy) Swanekamp of Tonawanda; Mrs. Joseph (Colleen) Basso of Tonawanda; & Justine Davis of Cromwell
9 Grandchildren
Mother – Frances Wood of North Tonawanda
3 Brothers – Jim (wife, Nina) Wood of North Tonawanda, NY; Bill (wife, Joan Wood of North Tonawanda, NY; & Greg (wife, Beth) Wood of Rochester, NY
Beloved Dog – Ellie Mae
She was preceded in death by her father.
Visitation will be 2:00 – 4:00 & 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 15, 2010 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday April 16, 2010 in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Milford.
