Farrell Stout

Farrell “Butch” Eugene Stout, 75, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. in Warsaw Meadows Care Center in Warsaw, Indiana.
He was born March 17, 1941 in Yorktown, Indiana to Farrell and Katherine (Warner) Stout. Farrell spent most of his lifetime in Yorktown, graduating from Yorktown High School in 1959.
Farrell and Myrna Richman were married on March 16, 1962 in Anderson, Indiana. They would share 51 years together until her passing on January 20, 2014.
He was retired from General Motors where he worked for more than 30 years.
Farrell enjoyed fishing, golfing, and mushroom hunting. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Muncie before moving to Warsaw in 2011. He was an AWANA leader for more than 20 years. More than anything, he enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and neighbors.
Survivors include 1 daughter: Lorrie (and spouse, Deb) Stout of Warsaw; 1 son: Dennis Stout of Brownsburg; 5 granddaughters: Ashley (and husband, Chris) VanDurmen of Warsaw, Megan Gunter of Warsaw, Emily (and husband, Chris) Janda of Pleasant Grove, Utah, Alison (and husband, Justin) Reynolds, and Danielle Meyer – all of Fort Wayne; 6 great-grandchildren: Jacoby and Elise VanDurmen, MaryJane and Silas Reynolds, Eden and Alice Janda - all at home, and 1 sister: Carolyn (and husband, Ray) Buck of Gaston, Indiana.
In addition to his wife, Myrna who passed on January 20, 2014, those preceding Farrell’s passing are his father: Farrell Stout in 1960 and his mother: Katherine Stout in 1988.
There will be a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, February 25th at 1:00 p.m. at Comfort Inn and Suites, 5775 Coventry Lane, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Pastor Glenn Hall of Harvest Community Church will officiate the service.
The family has asked that gifts in memory of Farrell be directed to The Pat Summitt Foundation, 520 W. Summitt Hill Drive, Suite 1101, Knoxville, Tennessee 37902.
