Francis M. (Frank) Parker III, 77, of Pierceton died at 11:11 a.m. Thursday, June 5, 2008 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born on December 6, 1930 in South Bend, IN to Francis M. & Helen R. (Hossler) Parker II.
He grew up in Gary, IN through his middle school years when his family moved to Sidney, IN. He graduated in 1948 from Sidney High School and attended Bryan College in Dayton, TN & Grace College in Winona Lake. He lived most of his life in Kosciusko County area except for 3 years that he lived near Columbus, OH. He married on March 17, 1968 in Fort Wayne, IN to Bertha L. (Method) McDonald who survives.
He retired as a controller in 1991 from Dana Corporation in Columbia City after 28 years of employment. He was a member of the Warsaw Community Church and a Life Member of the American Legion Post 253 in North Webster. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict.

5 Brothers - Alton Parker of South Whitley, John Parker of Marion, Opie Parker of Arizona, Larry Parker of South Whitley & Martin (wife, Thelma) Parker of Warsaw.
He was preceded by his parents, 1 Gt. Grandson - Ryan Unsicker, 1 Sister - Retha Parker, 3 Brothers - Kenton, Edgar & Whitney Parker
Visitation will be from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, June 8, 2008 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 9, 2008 at the funeral home with Pastor Bryan Koorey from the church officiating. Burial will follow in the Baintertown Cemetery near New Paris with military graveside rites performed by the American Legion Post 253.
Memorial bequests may be given to the American Legion Post 253 or Community Care Fund at the Warsaw Community Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
