Francis D. Lilly, 63, of Syracuse, IN passed away at 4:03 a.m. on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at his home. He was born on December 2, 1954 in Paintsville, KY to Francis Marion & Ethel Faye (May) Lilly.

He grew up in Paintsville, KY, graduated from Johnson Central High School in Paintsville and moved to the Syracuse area in 1974. He was married on January 10, 1976 in Syracuse, IN to Barbara A. “Barb” Kehr who survives. He retired from Rinker Boat Company in Syracuse after 36 years and formerly employed at Travel Equipment in Goshen.

He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #3760 & Syracuse Sons of the American Legion post 223 both in Syracuse and former member of the V.F.W. in Syracuse.

He is survived by:

Wife – Barb Lilly of Syracuse

2 Daughters – Alison (Richard) Powell & Amy Lilly both of Syracuse

4 Grandchildren

3 Sisters – Brenda Alexander of Pierceton, Faye Lilly of Pierceton, and Debbie Lilly of Warsaw, IN

2 Brothers – Charles (Wilma) Lilly of Olive Hill, KY & Marion Sandy) Lilly of Syracuse

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother – Simon Willis Lilly.

Visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN. Cremation will follow at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd 15, Warsaw, IN.

Preferred memorials may be given to the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 12889 N Kern Rd, Syracuse, IN 46567.
