Obituary for Frank Poe

Frank A. Poe, age 69, passed away on Sunday, May 13th in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. He was a longtime area resident, born in Prestonsburg, Kentucky on January 27, 1949.
Frank worked for Phend and Brown as a crew foreman. He was a hard worker and enjoyed being outdoors. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and tinkering with small projects. He had a sharp sense of humor and enjoyed giving everyone a hard time. Those that knew him best, saw his softer side though, especially in the way he cared for his cat, Buckwheat.
Those who survive include his two children: daughter, Angela Barker (and David Zolman) of Pierceton and son, Frankie Poe of Sidney and five grandchildren: Danielle Barker of Warsaw, Brenden Wolfe of Pierceton, Cameron Wolfe of Pierceton, Alayzia Miller of Warsaw and Tommy Miller of Warsaw. He is also survived by brothers, Rick Poe of Warsaw and Bill Poe of Claypool and by sister, Connie Pamer, who resides in North Carolina.
Those who preceded Frank in passing include his parents, Henderson and Garnet (Morrison) Poe; brother, Carl Wade Poe and his ex-wife, Lois Poe.
Friends and family will gather at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 East Sheridan Street, Warsaw, on Thursday, May 17th from Noon – 2 p.m. A funeral service which celebrates his life will follow, beginning at 2 o’clock with Pastor Terry Bradford of First Freewill Baptist Church of Kosciusko County officiating. Burial will follow in Palestine Cemetery.
Memorial gifts may be directed to Baker Youth Club where Frank enjoyed watching his grandchildren play. Checks may be mailed to Baker Youth Club, 1401 East Smith Street, Warsaw, IN 46580.
