Gail Benson-Sauers

Gail L. Benson-Sauers, 62, of Huntington, IN (formerly of Syracuse, IN) passed away at 5:20 p.m. on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at her home. She was born on March 7, 1955 in Goshen, IN to Warren G. & Miriam E. “Pat” Benson.
She was a lifetime Syracuse / Ligonier area resident before moving to Huntington in 2017, graduated in 1974 from Wawasee High School, and attended Business College. She was the former owner / operator of Alteration & Repairs by Gail in Syracuse, formerly employed at Syracuse Dry Cleaners, and Tower Ribbon & Awards in Topeka.
She formerly attended the Church of the Brethren in Syracuse and enjoyed playing Bingo at the Knights of Columbus in Syracuse.
She is survived by:
2 Daughters – Amanda (Nathan) Holley of Huntington & Brianne (Chad Keefer) Sauers of Goshen
2 Granddaughters
Brother – Jim (Pam) Benson of Syracuse
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister – Janet Patrick, and brother – Carl Benson.
Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 on Tuesday in the funeral home. Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd 15, Warsaw, IN. Private burial will take place in the Syracuse Cemetery at a later date.
