Gary Kent Williams, passed away peacefully at home in Atwood on December 6, 2024. He was 84 years old. Gary was born on December 27, 1939, in Denmark, Ohio to Howard and Lois Garman Williams. Gary grew up in Atwood, where he attended Atwood School and graduated from Atwood High School.

Gary dedicated his professional life to hard work, with notable years spent at Creighton Brothers and R.R. Donnelley from where he eventually retired. He was a skilled machine operator and took great pride in training others in the Bindery.

Beyond his professional achievements, Gary will be fondly remembered for his quiet, humble, and reserved personality. He took great pride in his family, especially his grandsons, and shared a special bond with his brother, valuing the close relationship they maintained throughout his life.

Gary had a wide array of interests and hobbies, including a passion for collecting vintage toys, particularly Marx toys, tractors, and Lionel trains. He was also a proud patriot; Gary served honorably in the Army Reserve and was a lifetime member of American Legion Post 49 in Warsaw.

Gary is survived by his loving wife, Grace Williams; two daughters, Amy (Chad) Heckaman of Warsaw & Heather (David) Turner of The Villages, Florida. He cherished his role as a grandfather to Justin (Erin - his fiancée) Brumfield, Austin (Noelle) Brumfield, and Coltin Brumfield, and embraced being a great-grandfather to Adalynn Lindsey, Emmalynn Lindsey, and Eleanor Brumfield. In addition, he leaves behind his siblings, Charles (Patricia) Williams, Sally Ladd, and Kay Creamer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Lois Williams, and his brother-in-law, Ward Ladd.
